During copy trading, you can stop following a trader at any time based on your needs. If a trader stops leading trades or their account becomes abnormal, the platform will also take corresponding measures to protect followers.
1. How to stop copy trading
Web
- Log in to your Echobit account, go to the "Copy Trading" page, and click "My follow-up".
2. In "My Copy Trading", find the trader you are currently following. Click "Cancel", then confirm the action to stop copy trading.
App
- Open the Echobit App and log in to your account. Tap "Copy Trading" on the homepage to enter the copy trading page.
-
Tap "Following Profit", select the trader you want to stop following, then tap "Stop Copy Trading" and confirm the action.
2. What happens to positions after copy trading is stopped?
When you stop copy trading, the related copied positions will be closed at the current market price. After the positions are closed, you will no longer follow any trading activity from that trader.
Please note that the final execution price may be affected by market fluctuations. Please review your positions and PnL carefully before confirming the operation.
3. What happens if the trader stops leading trades?
If a trader voluntarily stops leading trades, the system will automatically terminate your copy trading relationship with that trader. The related copied positions will be closed at the current market price, and you can review the relevant details in your order history and asset records.
It is recommended that you pay close attention to account notifications and review the related records promptly.
4. What if the trader's account becomes abnormal or the trader loses eligibility?
To protect followers, Echobit continuously monitors trader accounts and trading behavior.
If a trader violates platform rules, engages in abnormal trading activity, voluntarily exits the trader program, or has their trader status revoked, the platform will terminate that trader's copy trading privileges.
Once a trader's copy trading privileges are terminated:
- You will no longer be able to follow that trader for new position openings or position adjustments.
- The system will automatically terminate the copy trading relationship between you and that trader.
- Current copied positions will be handled and closed according to platform rules.
You can review the relevant details in your order history and asset records.
5. FAQ
Can I follow the same trader again after stopping copy trading?
Yes. If the trader is still active and eligible for copy trading, you can follow them again at any time.
Will stopping copy trading affect my realized profits?
No. Your realized PnL will remain in your account and will not be affected by stopping copy trading.
If a trader is banned, will my funds be affected?
No. Your funds are always held in your personal account and remain under your control. Changes to a trader's account status do not affect your ownership of your assets.
Copy trading involves digital asset market risk. No matter how strong a trader's historical performance may be, it does not guarantee future returns. Please monitor your copy trading performance regularly and manage your positions and funds responsibly based on your own risk tolerance.
