Transferring Funds to a Futures Account

To enhance risk management, Echobit separates funds into different accounts, including wallet accounts, futures accounts, and copy trading accounts. After depositing funds into your Echobit account, they will be stored in the wallet account by default. Before trading futures, you need to transfer funds to your futures account.
 

Steps to transfer funds:

  1. Log in to Echobit, click on “Assets” > “Asset Overview” in the top right corner.

  1. On the Asset Overview page, click “Transfer”.

  1. Select “Futures Account” as the destination, enter the transfer amount (e.g., USDT), and click “Confirm”.

How to Place Your First Futures Trade?

Once funds have been transferred to your futures account, follow these steps to start trading:

  1. Log in to Echobit and click “Futures Trading” in the navigation menu.

  1. On the Futures Trading page, BTC/USDT perpetual futures is set as the default trading pair. Click on the trading pair to select others, such as ETH/USDT, DOGE/USDT, etc.

  1. Confirm the margin mode and set trading parameters:

    1. Margin Mode (Cross / Isolated)
      • Cross Margin: All positions share the same margin balance in the futures account.
      • Isolated Margin: Each position is independent, with separate profit and loss calculations.

    2. Leverage Settings Click on the “10x” leverage indicator next to position mode to adjust the leverage level. For BTC/USDT contracts, leverage ranges from 1x to 200x. Beginners are advised to use lower leverage.

    3. Order Types
      • Limit Order: Set a specific price at which you want to buy/sell. The order will execute once the market reaches the set price.
      • Market Order: The trade is executed immediately at the best available price without setting a specific price.

    4. Take-Profit & Stop-Loss Set stop-loss or take-profit prices to manage risks effectively. Once the asset price reaches the set value, the order will be closed automatically.

  2. Placing an Order After configuring the settings, click “Buy/Long” if expecting the price to rise or “Sell/Short” if expecting the price to fall. Then, click “Confirm” to place the order.

    In futures trading:
    • Long (Buy): The trader expects the asset price to rise.
    • Short (Sell): The trader expects the asset price to fall.

  3. Order Management & History

    1. Open Positions: Displays active futures orders, including entry price, position size, and profit/loss.
    2. Open Orders: Orders that have been placed but not yet executed due to market conditions.
    3. Order History: Displays past orders that were not executed or only partially filled.
    4. Trade History: Shows all successfully completed trades, including quantity, amount, and profit/loss details.

  1. Sharing Your Trade In the Order History section, click the share button next to an order to generate a trade poster and referral code.
